On our Tweetlio launch day I was sleeping, and somebody texted me that your product was listed on producthunt. I was like what???? say that again?
So http://tweetlio.com, was automatically pushed on the scheduled date on Product Hunt, I actually set that up for 21st August and thought i will change the data later but I got no emails or anything.
Here’s how I navigated the journey:
1. Realization and Decision - I woke up to find that our product had been launched on Product Hunt without my intervention. At this moment, I had two options: contact them to remove it or go ahead with the launch. Even though half the day was already gone, I chose to fight and work on that.
2. Initial Struggles - Our start was slow, and I hadn’t responded to any comments yet. This was a major obstacle, as user engagement is crucial for ranking on Product Hunt.
3. Strategic Engagement - Recognizing the importance, I started working on engaging with the community, responding to comments, and actively participating in discussions about our product. This interaction helped us get noticed.
4. Breakthrough and Achievement - Through relentless efforts and persistent engagement, we eventually made it to the Top 10 products of the day. It was a hard-fought battle, but our determination paid off.
This journey has taught me the importance of quick decision-making and active community engagement, and it’s a reminder that perseverance is key.
