Ever Been in Tutorial Hell

Hi Guys,
taking a break from talking about newslitty -to talk about something I've noticed going on for quite some time in the coding world.
I find that a lot of people learning to code are taught in isolated chunks and are not really given any useful guidance to how they take the isolated concepts they learn to solve problems.
is this something others have noticed or experienced?
It's a problem that I'm interested in because I enjoy teaching people coding at work, but all the parts of coding - not just leaving you stranded with a for loop.
I've taken my first stab at how i want to start helping people by creating this free ebook:
Gumroad - https://1910897838018.gumroad.com/l/uklwig
Direct PDF - https://www.dropbox.com/s/324akyrubx5nkw8/Learn-To-Code-By-Solving-Problem-virtual-assistant.pdf?dl=0
Direct epub - https://www.dropbox.com/s/7pg2dt2u6s1n8kk/Learn-To-Code-By-Solving-Problem-virtual-assistant.epub?dl=0
ill keep looking for way to help get people out of tutorial hell so would be really good to hear what others think :)
