  • Dude, how do you find a good co-founder?

I live alone in an apartment. None of my friends are the startup types. Not in college anymore. Building things totally alone just gets kinda annoying after a while; I know it would be more enjoyable and I'd get a lot further with another person. But the "find a co-founder" platforms just don't seem to be very good options. Help!

it would be cool if there were something integrated in PH, I was think about some product that could be created around it

Attend events and meetups in your industry to connect with like-minded individuals who may be interested in partnering with you. or just Use online platforms: Websites like CoFoundersLab, FounderDating

Go to lots of events (book clubs, parties), join groups (cycling groups, hiking groups), keep an eye out for any meet-ups for founders, talks, conferences and other such events. Attend them, talk about your idea to everyone you meet and ask them if they know someone. Follow up. Hang out in online communities and talk about your idea - PH, Indie hacker, reddit and everywhere else. Just keep talking about your idea, your vision why it makes sense. Add value wherever you can, make new friends online. Do this consistently without stopping for 2 months. 80% chance you'll find someone. Good luck!

You've got a lot on your mind. I read somewhere that the founder of Notion was one of the people you worked with... How about that? I found it that way, too. I have the advantage of knowing the person well enough to have worked with them.

@isaiah_trotter Oops, my bad, I meant to say that the head of Notion offered the COO position to someone who had a professional relationship with him.

@elly_cho Woah, that'd been cool if I did, haha. I don't know where you would have read that though I'm just a nobody (:

Y Combinator has a match tool. I found mine there and can really recommend it.
