Does it make sense to ship your product before the launch?

Question

So we're working tirelessly on our product- aimed at developers, we've just come out of beta private release and are now open for everyone to use 🚀 (check us out at https://apyhub.com/)

Question is: We're planning our PH launch 6-8 weeks from now. Does it make sense to ship the product, grow some subscribers and get feedback from the community before?

Would love to know your personal experience with this too!

@richw thanks for the feedback. I am planning to do the same- create an upcoming page so I can ask people to subscribe. This will only be a part of the overall effort though- to create a support base

but there's a bit of an issue:
some of the reviewers are actively waiting for you to respond to their concerns about ApyHub

the reviewers are excited about ApyHub and some of them are READY to use the software in this current version.

but.

they would be more comfortable using this current version if you responded back on issues they pointed out

it's definitely helpful to create some user or support base before for a good launch. whether ship is the route to do that or not is unknown to me, i've created an upcoming page for our app where I ask those who reach out to me to support their launch to subscribe in returning the favor

Yeah you can do that. This way you have a group early supporters that can help you get the intial upvotes and traction for your launch.
