Do you think a tool to generate AI short films with one click can be successful?

PopShort.AI claims to be able to generate an AI short film with one click, and maintains good character consistency. The video generation effect is comparable to Hailuo AI. Most of the people currently joining the waitlist are AI directors, content creators, and AI designers, teachers, novel writers, screenwriters, etc., what do you think?

It depends on the quality of that short if it will be successful or not. If short is engaging, then for sure it is gonna be success.

Launching soon!
For me "short films in one click" is the problem. Very few storyteller / filmmakers would believe that proposition. To believe it, you'd need to break it down. (Unless by "short films" you actually mean memes)? To create a compelling short film there's the story idea, the character development, script or story production, the location or place in the world where the story is set, the format/lighting/tone/style/music/animation etc etc. To convince people all of this can be done in one click is tough. How? When I've experimented with AI, currently (as you'd expect) it pulls from what already exists. So yes you could create a completely unoriginal weird-looking short film in one click. But would anyone want to watch it? I'm keen to see how PopShort.AI will do it...!
AI isn't quite there yet. Current AI models have memory limitations and struggle to maintain consistency across longer videos ,they literally "forget" what happened in earlier scenes. Beyond that, while AI can generate visuals quickly, compelling videos need more than just technical consistency. They need story structure, emotional pacing, and purposeful creative choices. One-click might work for simple clips, but for longer meaningful content we're still very much in human territory.
The videos are very clearly AI generated, can you make the humans more realistic?
That would be so cool! I can imagine students having a blast creating their own AI-generated short films to present in class. The possibilities are endless - history lessons brought to life, creative writing assignments turned into mini movies, even science concepts visualized in entertaining ways. As long as the tool is user-friendly enough for students and teachers to easily use, I think it could be a game-changer for making learning more engaging and memorable. I'd love to see something like this take off in classrooms!
AI-generated videos can sometimes be overly simplistic, maintaining character and narrative consistency in longer content can be a significant technical challenge, leading to unsatisfactory results
This sounds exciting. If the output quality is comparable to Hailuo AI, it could open up so many possibilities for quick, engaging videos.
The idea is cool, but I wonder about the ethical implications. If a tool like this generates films with one click, how do you ensure originality and avoid unintentional copying of existing content? It’s a slippery slope.
This tool perfect for screenwriters. The ability to visualize your script instantly is amazing. Does it also let you edit dialogue or scenes before generating the film?
