    Yes, it does. We have a streak feature in our product that launched today! We also have a number of gamification features like points and badges in our product and without a doubt they do help with user engagement.
    For a level, it would work for some products. But it's not going to be the sole thing that would move the retention needle.

    Yes, it does! Realistically, even if you are just logging on to maintain a streak, you are likely upvoting a product or discussion while here, and even if you don't PH is still on the top of your mind because you open the app each day.

    The gamification feature can contribute a lot to the retention.

    I think it does for a week or so, apps like Duolingo implement this well

    Statistically yes, even if the streak doesn't do anything other than increase a number. There has been lots of research done on this - the poster child for this is duolingo.
