Do you add subtitles to your product demo / marketing videos?

Question

I was shocked when I learned that over 80% of people watch a video till the end if it has subtitles, and it can increase views by 40%?! Have you tried with and without, and did you notice a difference? We are launching our auto subtitle generator soon so I'm really interested to hear your thoughts about subtitles!

Subtitles are super important! That's because some people watch videos without sound. On public transport , in a noisy place, waiting in a queue or when ever they're trying to be quiet or don't have headphones. Subtitles are also useful when the content is not in your native language. For many people it's easier to read than to understand people talking. So, subtitles are a must for most videos. Unless of course the video is not narrated. :-)

@carolmoh great idea.. It would really change a lot. Situations where you can access and comprehend contents created in different languages with the help of subtitles is very amazing. If you can implement that perfectly, I think it's something potentially big

That's one tactic that I've told my clients about and it's helped them get more views and sales. Subtitles help people follow along and they increase concentration capacity!

Subtitles are great! I believe a lot of people usually watch content with their audio turned off, having subtitles in the video usually helps a lot.
