It depends on the product. Personally, I think fb groups and Reddit are one of the best places to find users based on interests, as they tend to have high engagement. You just have to be creative in how to approach because of the moderation.

In the end you need to narrow down your ideal customer and find out on which channels he/she hangs out. Then, I would personally try to engage organically. If that does not work you can try out paid ads.
