Async chat or sync auido/video? How do you prefer to sync with team members between sprint meetings

Asking all product team members out there. When you're mid-sprint and need to sync up to e.g. know what everyone is working on, align on top priorities etc. what do you do?
What routines do you have and which tools do you use to communicate? e.g do you slack the team or do you rely on scheduled meetings?
How would you, in an ideal world, like to work to keep the teamwork and communication tight during sprints?

We run a company Discord where anyone can tag anyone and ask a async question. We also have sync meetings like daily, planning or retro

2 options for us:
1. Always comment on JIRA tickets (the risk being that we decentralize info and key stakeholders miss out on valuable inputs)
2. If there are too many questions (like, more than 3), prepare a Q&A table on Notion and ask people to fill their questions and answers (if they have it) - and eventually do a quick 15min meeting for alignement
What we're also trying to implement to avoid interruptions throughout the sprint is to allocate a refinement period on the 2 first days of sprint - following that same process descrived above.
One thing for sure is that refining topics on slack brings too much disorder + decentralization + interruptions
@lucile_riviere Thanks for sharing Lucile, seems like two good ways of working. May I ask - when you jump on to do the quick meetings for alignment:
1. Are these scheduled?
2. What tool do you use, e.g. Zoom or Google Meets?
I'm currently trying to learn how hybrid product teams work to understand how we can help them nudge spontaneous syncs/ conversations, given that that is desired ofc
@ebba_cronqvist , we are actually developing a solution to have more productive 1:1s and team meetings. Please check zipdo.co - We are launching our MVP soon and if you want to be one of the first users to try it out, please contact me at ajeser[at]zipdo.co or join our waitlist.
