Yeah, I used to hate Twitter because of the politics, etc. But now I love it. Originally I tried to do the normal thing which was to 'build an audience'. But I found it a tiny bit unauthentic. Later, I came across a creator there who encouraged me to focus on making friends and networking on the platform. It's better to have 500 people who know and like you versus 50,000 people who follow you for memes. Since then it's basically become a little bit of an addiction.... haha If you want to connect on the platform, this is my handle: https://twitter.com/benjaminboman_

@benjaminboman agree with you. you can have a lower amount of followers and still have more returns and interactions than large accounts. I followed you ;)

I am more interested in Mastodon than in Twitter now.

@solerbor Because of what Janak mentioned, actually. Twitter, like Facebook and Google, uses an algorithm that will select what you see. So, in order to get more viewers, people create "tactics" aimed at getting "engagement" so their "reach" will increase over time. On Mastodon there is not anything like that. As there is no algorithm "selecting" anything, all your followers receive all your updates, always. So there is no need to create tactics or get engagement. Conversations flow naturally and without "a marketing agenda". Mastodon is better than Twitter now, amigos!

Trying to connect with a similar-sized Twitter account as mine, and review their interest too!😆 And skim people and determine your target audience or business friends! You don't need to think about it! Just use 'hummin infobox'! You can decide who to follow based on this for growing your account! That's my tips. ✨

We've never prioritized Twitter, because we're originally content creators/creative businesses but for a long time we are really interested in productivity hacks which is why we want to be more active over there!
