I've been there!
I tried to build my first tech startup but it didn't go well because our team had budget constraints and team members were not committed enough to build the platform in exchange for equity (can't blame them).
We failed, 4 funded companies got there first before we even launched ours. So, I pivoted and tried to offer marketing services for 2 years. It works! But it wasn't enough. The marketing industry is saturated already.
Then I came back to my drawing board. I reviewed my skills and I realized that by profession I am a Software QA Engineer with marketing experience and an entrepreneur in heart.
So from:
• Founder of a tech startup: Failed due to Budget Constraints
Pivoted to:
• Marketing Services: Too much competition but I learned a lot and helped a lot of businesses to scale and onboard users.
Pivoted again to:
• QAaaS: Less competition and HUGE MARKET. (QA-as-a-service is helping tech startups create the best User experience and quality products for their customers. We find bugs so that your users don't have to.)
I announced my QAaaS 9 days ago, during these days I built the website, created the LinkedIn page, and Twitter account, and invited my former colleagues to join my team.
During these 9 days, I was able to onboard 3 clients! The website will be launched today!
Our target clients are tech Startups and Indie Hackers with budget constraints. We wanted to help them launch a quality product from MVP to Beta to Live product.

Great for you on pivoting. Sadly for some people their ego will drive them into serious debt. There is a time to just cut your losses and walk away or pivot.
I’m about to launch and have spent a small fortune and a ton of time building it. If after six months it doesn’t gain traction, I’ll pivot or move on to something different.
There is no such thing as failure (unless you don’t try at all) it’s all about the lessons you learn
