Hello everyone! Whenever I'm working on something that requires focus, I frequently pick up my phone.
I've been looking for an app that tracks the number of times I do this, as most apps focus on tracking time instead. Do you think there's a need for an app that tracks how often we pick up our phones? Or is there already one out there that does this well?

Check out Moment or StayFree. They track phone pickups.
YourHour is a good option for tracking phone. Give it a try!
I've used RescueTime in the past for tracking how much time I spend online, but it doesn't actually track how many times I picked up the phone.
It tracks both the time you spend on your computer and your phone and on which app. You can classify your apps as productive or not, and add goals of maximum hours you want to spend on each app. At the end of the day it will point out if you stayed within your goals or not. I really like the weekly and monthly reports. It does help with productivity, but the UI is an eyesore. So, there's a lot to improve on that one.

A related product reference for "quiting" on using a device (e-cigarretes in this case) is the app "Puff count". It can serve as a reference point if your goal is for people to stop using the smartphone altogether.
Finally, there are these UI skins that make your phone very minimal. I haven't used it because they are not free, check: https://www.minimalistphone.com/. Apparently they're are really good at making the smartphone so unappealing that people stop using it as much.
