Anybody has experience with expanding businesses from the EU to the States and Canada?

My team is working on creating an open-source SaaS for software developers. Our country can only function as a pilot market since most of the businesses don't have the technical problems our product solves.
So our thinking is to focus on other countries in the EU and overseas. In order to do that, we'd like to make connections with VCs who can help us expand our business to the US with the possibility of raising capital to accelerate our product's development.
What's our best course of action? Is there anyone here who have faced the same problem? What's your experience?

The best course of action for your team is to conduct thorough market research, identify potential VC firms with expertise in SaaS and software development, and leverage networking opportunities such as industry events, startup accelerators, and online platforms to connect with experienced entrepreneurs who have faced similar challenges expanding their businesses to the US or overseas markets.
