Any other "design founders"?

Hey all! Excited to be part of Product Hunt. I've been working on a travel app for the last few months that I'm excited to launch soon. I'm Braden, and for the past 8.5 years I've worked as a product designer in tech (GoFundMe, Lyft). Curious how many folks here were also previously a full-time UX/Software/Product designer before starting their own product? What skill gaps did you have that you had to overcome once the "plane was in the air"? Even if you weren't employed as a designer, but just have a special interest in it, please say hi!
