Recently, I changed Zixflow's free trial from 14 days to 7. I noticed most potential customers make their decisions within a week.
What's your opinion on this? Help me out :)

Really depends on the product Prem. For some products 7 days is better and for some 14 days. Its important to understand the user journey in the product and see for how many days a user will need to really experience the core feature of the product.
Why I say it depends is because some product also require collaboration and sometimes for them 7 days trial is too less to really explore together.

Even though it largely depends on the product, I'd still go with 14 days. 7-day free trial still seems to me as insufficient time to make a decision, so I'd prefer more time.
Why not split the difference and offer an 11.5-day trial for that perfect balance between decision-making time and that sweet taste of extended exploration? It's like finding the Goldilocks zone for free trials! 🌟

It depends on your time to value. If your product is simple and really easy to understand and derives value from shorter forms, 3d/7d is better. If it takes more time to set up & generate value - longer ones are better.

It depends on the product, your conversion funnel and your user behavior - I think if you see that behavior, changing the trial time is perfect! Good luck!

It totally depends on the product and what it offers. If the offering is too vast or is multifaceted, 14 days is good enough to explore it and get a hang of it.
If it is driven towards a niche and has specific functionalities, capabilities, etc. I believe a week should be enough.
In a nutshell, you want your users to use and explore your product, and is also on the burner of running out, which will help them make a purchasing decision.
Now, to charge the user, you can leave some functionalities, etc. locked with just a teeny weeny bit preview to showcase your product's true capabilities and potential.
Some will disagree and say that all the features should be available during the free trial. I'd say, if I see it all, there's a chance that your product might not live up to the hype (according to the user).
Thus, best showcase and tease, let em' buy and decide further. It's about getting them on board first, right?
