I am a big fan of the idea that the fewer people and the more revenue a company has per 1 person, the cooler the product and more efficient it is to scale!
@thomas_hansen5 thanks! What is required here is a clarification of what a "team" is. In the case of FlowMapp, 7 people are the whole "company" :)
If we talk about full-stack independent product team I prefer this combination:

My attitude towards outsourcing has changed over time. Now my decision is influenced most of all by remote trends - it has become possible to hire cool people for project activities, to get strong expertise for part of the work, and so on.
I like it very much, it is very convenient and fast.

5. We had quite a slow research and starting phase and now are looking for market fit, while keeping the team relatively small

5) For us, the team size remained unchanged. We started as a dynamic duo of 2 and have stuck to it. This setup has proven to be the most effective for us, fostering seamless collaboration and focused outcomes.

I launched Relolib alone in 2022, and after that my cor team expanded to 6 people, and shrunk to 2. We do a non-profit service, so people come to us as volunteers.
