  • Is there a strategy to increase my blog audience from scratch? What would you recommend?

I'm talking here about boosting initial audience. From scratch, from zero. I've never blogged for bigger audience. Most time it was like - let me write something that I could use as a reference when someone ask me how I do or what do I think about . Now, when I want to switch from a developer into maker mode, I'm aware I need to build an audience. And I've started writing some posts on https://brunoraljic.com Do you have any recommendation and feedback related directly to my blog.

Here is my blog promotion checklist. It works quite well: * Catchy title (for inspiration see e.g. https://tim.blog) * Write a unique Tweet/Tweetstorm about it and tag some people (only if useful) * Write a unique Linkedin/FB post and tag some people (only if useful) * HackerNews, then add a comment with a teaser * Reddit, then add a comment with a teaser * Indiehackers * Find relevant tweets and comment (only if useful) * ProductHunt * Post in forums * Post in FB groups * Quora The important thing is to convert the acquired traffic into newsletter subscribers and Twitter followers, so you can build your own organic audience. Good luck!

@remouherek yeah, but definitely I have to engage more with the community, to check the pulse.

@remouherek Hi Remo, Thanks for compiling such a list. One thing is not yet clear to me, Quora? I'll have to take a look there. I know a lot of people is telling they are using Quora to get traffic. For me it was QA site and I couldn't see how to use it, but I'll check it soon.

@bruno_raljic Hi Bruno, you have to be a bit creative with Quora. For example you can integrate one or two links to your blog in your replies, or publish a teaser with a „continue reading“ link to your blog.
