The University of Liverpool has agreed to rename a building named after former prime minister William Gladstone due to his views on slavery. Gladstone spoke out against abolition in Parliament because his family had slaves on plantations in the Caribbean.

Sadiq Khan said he had set up a commission to review the capital's landmarks to ensure they reflect its diversity.

It comes after anti-racism protesters tore down a statue of slave trader Edward Colston in Bristol on Sunday. Source From Click Hear
