It seems like the answer to this question is weighted by the purpose of the website. A shopping website would need different elements from a personal blogging site.

In my circles, I'm finding fewer and fewer people on X. This seems to be a good place to connect with people who actually think and talk product. The channels where you solicit feedback on the broader product idea (business model, UX, offering structure) may be different from the channels where you find your target audience.

This is spot on accurate advice and similar to some tips I've written up for companies I've been at. - I've seen multiple attempts to force every team member to be an evangelist. Always fails. - I've seen scammers... especially with photos of attractive young women who have names that don't match the faces and no connections. - My son once wanted to be an Influencer and I did some searching...

They are needed, but not to excess. 1:1s with direct reports are essential to build rapport, whether live or virtual for remote staff. To many all-hands-communication-meetings are a sign that an organization isn't making clear objectives and delegating them to the right teams.

It took me MANY years to realize that books are condensed learnings from others that simply can save you time. Recently read Obviously Awesome. Quick read. Was a good refresher/validation for me, but would be super helpful to early career founders. There are many ways to build a great product, but it's best if you actually know the kind of product that you are building.

Solo on this project for years, but I'm bringing on a long time friend to help support YJ. It's been a big relief, in some ways, but there's nothing wrong with getting something going solo. The biggest issue for me is seeing other single founders who can't share their toys... which becomes an inhibitor to success and growth.

As someone who has done a ton of hiring in the last couple of years, simply throwing a resume at me with no detail makes it difficult to consider you. Similarly, generic or (worse) mis-addressed letters are detrimental. So if you've got something that can actually build a targeted, factual, well-written cover letter that helps convince me that you're a good candidate, great!

For B2B stuff, I use Buffer and limit interaction to LinkedIn and Medium. For personal stuff, I've moved off of most social media and focus on creating my own content using YakJive. Note that one thing I really like about Buffer is the ability to show scheduled posts on a calendar view, including the ability to quickly edit and reshare posts.
