Always buy it as soon as I have the idea - I have so many in used ones now. I guess its a reminder of the ideas you didn’t see through.

I've worked at a number of agencies and with brands and always found in the content / social team it was always a case of filling in a content plan and became content for the sake of content. Like you were just ticking off boxes.
Over time I started implementing and using various techniques to find content ideas relative to my audience. From using Amazon, to Quora and a whole load of...

- I installed freedom.to and created block lists of distracting sites (across all devices)
- use the pomodoro technique
- listen to instrumental music so my brain doesn't have to process lyrics
- I use rescue time to monitor my performance and see where I can improve
- I zone my calendar, 4 hours dedicated to a highlight or big project, set a time to check emails or slack, remaining hours for...

I recently cancelled my Adobe creative cloud licence due to the other powerful tools out there. My current stack:
Descript for podcasts and now video editing
Figma for all my assets - cool that you can have all social sizes on one page and make parts dynamic
BannerBear - great no code solution using templates. Just hook up a form or spread sheet with Zapier and the automations will produce...

My 100 tweet thread that drove growth on Twitter and my substack
I recently summarised a lot of what I had learnt the past year from a tool, gadget, health and what not point of view. It's getting daily engagement and is helping grow my followers and send subscribers to my up and coming substack. (launches tomorrow!!)

Just used Miro yesterday - was in a face to face meeting, but so much better than post it’s on the wall. Had my Mac displaying it on the screen as a whole, then the team were on their iPads.

Meetings. I hate, strong word, meetings so have turned them into research sessions. I note down any frustrations anyone has sand see if that could become something.
Also, I try to remove monotony from what has to be done in my business and build an automation or simpler step which then inspires more ideas

I'm a fan of the animations to a certain degree - but more from an emphasis on the product rather than the generic cookie cutter prebuilt ones.
From a video perspective I think Dollarshave club nailed it :

Most bots are going to give you low quality audiences. You could pay some services to get a couple thousand followers over night, but they won’t be worth anything to you.

A daily summary. Weekly summary and monthly
I'm a big fan on 'Non-zero' days - So even when you've only done a little bit of work it records it.
So in your summaries you can see you are making progress, however small.
It helps a little with the 'motivation'
Something like:
You spent X hours on project X this week, that's more than last week, keep it up
