The customer is not always right - AMA w/ CEO of atono
Hey all - Troy McAlpin, CEO and co-founder of atono here.In our last $70M ARR SaaS venture, we learned the hard way: the customer is not always right.Yes, customer experience matters. Yes, theyâre the ones paying the bills. But no, they donât always know how to design the best solution.Steve Jobs famously said, âCustomers often donât know what they want until you show them.âAt @Atono, weâve...

Hi Product Hunt! đđźWhen I founded my last company, xMatters, we relied on over a dozen different tools from various vendors to build the product. It felt like a never-ending assembly line of inboxes, endless Slack threads, and tasks piling up. Each tool was disconnected, and every role â PMs, devs, QA â worked in silos with no visibility into each otherâs work. đ¤After 15 months of hard work,...

Hi PH! T minus 3 days to launch! đ đ đÂ
Hi Product Hunt! đWhen I founded my last company, xMatters (an incident management solution), our DevOps teams relied on over a dozen tools from different vendors to build our product (Jira was a project all by itself). It felt like a never-ending assembly line of inboxes, endless Slack threads, and tasks piling up. Each tool was disconnected, and every role â PMs, devs, QA â worked in silos...

We use our own application for the product teams (atono.io) and asana for marketing. We previously used Linear and found that the needs of the software development team were unique. With our own product it was even more apparent since we embed features for running the software like feature flags and feature analytics into the the actual story. Other things like bug triage, bug capture from a...
Startups using Linear - is it a company wide project mgmt system, or do you use other tools too?

We are a remote first company at atono.io - but we are build a dev tool to compete with Jira - so...what we're building has to facilitate all work styles (in person, hybrid, remote-first, etc). We have tried to do several things to minimize the impact of not being physically together:1) We try to recruit from the same time zone if possible;2) We get together in small groups (based on location)...
All teams that work remotely: How do you improve your company culture?

We use Clay for list generation and filling out the data set for incomplete prospect information. We use it with a CRM system not instead of it. It's a solid data source and generation tool.
Has anyone tried Clay for managing relationships and networking?

Old dog, new tricks? Hi All!
New to PH, but not to SaaS. Our last company surpassed $60m ARR, was purchased, took some time off, now back at it! We are working on a new project, specifically for cross-functional software development teams and orgs. We are trying to take a fresh look at how we plan, build and run software. Think of it as "if Jira were built in 2025 (instead of 2003)" -- but more than just Proj Mgmt. For...
