As an app owner I am very reliant on user testimonials and ratings to amplify our successes and profile in the app stores. As a consumer I am highly influenced by testimonials. Mostly written on sites like Product Review.com.au, Capterra and Google, but have not relied upon video testimonials very often.

Very clever idea. Will take a look it might work on our app GetReminded which has contextual advertiser offers!!

The only caveat about choosing 'done' over 'perfection' is that what you believe is 'done' actually delivers a worthy product/solution/outcome that people can use so you get meaningful feedback to keep improving. It's no use launching a half-baked product that gets poor reviews and that stops the concept from reaching its full potential.

For over 10 years a family member never questioned their electricity provider about the rate they were paying. From my recent experience, if you're startup doesn't have strong monthly revenue, investors won't back you. Even when all the other 'must-have' boxes are ticked! 😤 There's no 'adventure' in venture capital at the moment! At least not here in Australia. 🤔

Keep everything as simple as possible. i.e. > Make your customer's life simpler. > Have a simple biz model. > Execute simple marketing tactics.

Definitely you need the MVP live to start getting user feedback and measure traction - plus also quickly find out any issues/concerns that you may have missed whilst in beta mode. Funding discussions will be much easier (although not 'easy') when you have a live product to demonstrate :)

Two things. Firstly, posting old and cliched inspirational quotes. People should post original thoughts about how to get and be inspired. Secondly, posts that are of a very personal nature and not relevant to share on a professional network.

From my startup experience, the biggest mistake was to stop fundraising after we raised our 3rd round of Angel investment. Instead we used funds to improve the product and execute GTM plans - but we stopped talking to future prospective investors. That killed the momentum we were building that should have segued into our Seed round. [BTW, we're not dead yet!]

We launched this app in Australia a few years ago, and now it's available in the US and Canada from the Apple and Play Stores.
