My journey from Damascus to Amsterdam has been a path of resilience and reinvention. Starting with a strong foundation in finance—a bachelor's in Banking & Insurance, a master’s in Financial Management, and seven years in retail banking—I fled to Amsterdam and faced a series of transformative challenges. After an entrepreneurial attempt as a consultant fell short, I pivoted to hospitality, mastering roles as a barista and host. A layoff in May 2024 became a pivotal moment to refocus on my passion for innovation and wellness. Now, I’m building Sober Mister, a tech-driven platform dedicated to revolutionizing alcohol-free living and inspiring a global movement toward mindful connections and healthier choices.
