🔥 Why Do People Lose Their Product Hunt Streaks?
I was scrolling through Product Hunt, feeling pretty proud of my streak (as it increasing day by day :). Then it hit me, what if I accidentally miss a day? That thought got me thinking about how frustrating it can be to lose a streak, especially when you ve worked hard to keep it going. Here are some reasons I ve seen (or experienced) for losing streaks: 1 : Life gets busy, and it s easy to forget. 2 - : Those offline trips can sneak up on you. 3 : Not having a set check-in time for Product Hunt. 4 : Missing reminders when you're caught up in other tasks. 5 : Rare, but they do happen. 6 : Forgetting when the streak resets. >>>Streaks may reset at ( ). For instance, if you're in Lahore, Pakistan (Pakistan Standard Time, UTC+5), midnight PT would correspond to 1:00 PM your time. Have you ever lost your streak? What happened?
SEO - Backlink exchanges
Knowing that the vast majority of us are trying to get more visibility. Thought it made sense to see if anyone wished to do some link exchanges (if appropriate) For those not in marketing, links to a website is a good metric for search engines to understand that you are a thought leader. It helps you to gain more power and give you more traffic by obtaining more competitive search keywords. I currently manage 6 websites from 10 - 25 DA rankings. If anybody would be interested - feel free to comment and message me on LinkedIn (in my profile). If there is a lot of engagement, I will find a better solution to create a community.
How do you promote your product when it is not your full-time job?
One of the biggest challenges I have had while creating my company is how I promote it, not because of the lack of knowledge, but due to expectations and priorities. While I have told my full-time employer that I have my own company, and they are accepting of it, I do not believe my LinkedIn channel is appropriate for aggressively promoting my company as it is a conflict of interest to the company I am paid to promote. My full-time job is a great work culture and I admire the team a lot, I am passionate about my work there too - so there is a unique balance I would need to find if I were to use LinkedIn. For those that have been in a similar situation, and promoting their business to a professional audience - how did you do it? what other channels did you find useful?
