This feels like it's based on a misunderstanding of why on-demand businesses succeed or fail. Providing people with a streamlined service to build a layer on an existing industry would work well if that was the way in which on-demand businesses actually worked. A platform for building two-sided marketplaces? Great. That'd be useful. A platform for on-demand services? Missing the point.

Neat. How are you able to get granular location on mobile? That seems like a big obstacle to doing this for events. I can see it being very useful if solved, though.

The subtext here is that the primary goal of drinking is to get drunk, not to enjoy the experience. It's a big waste of time (and a hangover) to short for the finish line without enjoying the journey. (tl;dr: this valuable information could be presented much better)

This is fantastic. The idea of branching on new ideas or alternate approaches to a given chapter or section is brilliant, and something I'd been hoping someone would create for years now. The OSX editor is great - although the signup-by-github method was a bit confusing and resulted in me having to reset my password. Really looking forward to using this on my next writing project!

This has the "wow" factor for sure, and the nostalgia is strong. What's truly remarkable is that it's a standalone wearable with a true purpose: it's not designed to assist your smartphone usage. I'd stop short of saying this changes my running or exercise routine, though.

This is one of many layers on Twitter that really add value to the service. Love the emphasis on the people you communicate with the most.
