Nice work @sxsio The area that I struggled with was , once i found names i liked, to see if the social handles were available. A really nice addition to this would be to package free domains & handles (or associated handles)

@vincenthaywood some great advice in here. This one is so simple but i hadn't thought of it! Starting a newsletter, export all your Gmail (or other mail clients) contacts and add to your list. Send an email to ask them if they want in or out. That’s your first emails added, in some cases may be a couple hundred. Start with who you know - ask them to share too

Congrats @sophie_howe this is such a needed product. My wife bought 14 items of clothing online this week. Guess how many she returned because they didn't fit? Thats right, 14... Would love to see you move onto all clothe types. Huge opportunity to reduce returns (Zappo's has 40% of its stock returned every year!!)

I think we're always in a state of 'change' @fresh_food and the only difference right now is the pace of change. We've seen 10 years of growth in 6 months in certain trends (i) store commerce-to online (ii) on premise working to remote and (iii) full time to freelance IMO those who embrace these trends will find opportunity, those who fight it will find it hard.

@paul_nica & @fabian_maume Thanks for sharing. Whilst word of mouth is 90% of the poll results, hearing (i) how you got to the point that word of mouth became sustainable and (ii) how long it took is really interesting. Good guidance for anyone starting out

Such a good question. I have no idea what the answer is : ) but I'm interested to know if a 'failed' launch actually hurts the business in any way. I can't imagine it does but I'm sure the fear of that happening stops some Makers from putting themselves out there
