How do you manage all the PDFs and the notes you take with them?
Hey everyone, this has been a personal struggle for a while now. I have a lot of PDFs and I like making notes, annotating them, and keeping them in one place. I attempted using the kindle app on mac for it, but it's just not working out. I am unable to sync the notes and keep them in one place. How do you handle all the PDFs? I use a mac, I would love your recommendations for it.

How does one publish newsletter which is also available on the website?
Hello everyone! I am trying to wrap my head around this. I follow James Clear's newsletter: https://jamesclear.com/3-2-1 .
It comes to my email, but it is also hosted on his website. I am trying to figure out what tools or what ways could one actually do this. Could you please help me with some leads? Thank you so much!

I can start with my list. Trying to grow a file transfer product for creatives:
1. Offline events - talking to people in person, validating ideas with them. Great to validate ideas, not so much for users.
2. FB & Instagram ads - great for visibility, doesn't translate to users
3. Paid ads on blogs - limited visibility, very tiny conversion (if at all), decent for domain authority.

What outreach channels have not worked for your first 100 users? (+Book recommendation of what does)
I have done a lot of mistakes while trying to grow a product. [You will see my list down below]
From knowing nothing about product growth, to too many expensive experiments, I have come a long way and I continue to learn. I am curious about what are some of the methods/channels, that you know through your experiences, that just don't work at all. (This of course totally depends on the kind of...

Everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time and answering/voting! Really appreciate it.
Just an update on this. I spoke to a few deep thinkers IRL and they asked me a follow up question to this. Are these values that I speak of, moral values or ethical values? And honestly, that has thrown me off a little bit. I am unsure how to answer that. Could anyone here point me to a place where I...

My reason for not paying is a bit different. I have been targeted by interesting set of ads and that has helped me discover new relevant products and youtubers. So I don't mind it at all. Also, at this point, I have just gotten used to the waiting I suppose. I do know a few people who pay for it and are quite happy.

As a consumer, how important is it for you to align with a company's values?
I am curious to learn about this community. If you learnt that the founders of the product you use or the company is involved in activities that you don't personally (morally or value systems wise) align with, are you less likely to go back to the product? On the other hand, if you do find founder aligning with your vision of the world, are you more likely to use their products?
For example:...

1. I have completely stopped multitasking.
2. Meditation - everyday
3. Stop accepting meeting requests for 3 weeks at a time.
4. Scheduling therapy/doc visits for routine checkins to make sure nothing is going wrong.
Can you tell me some things you don't doing to be more productive?

My goto for the last 10 months has been a set of mental rituals. Quick meditation, having an exhaustive checklist in place, and put on the headphone without any music in it, just to let people around me that I am not up for a conversation. This has helped me make sure, that while the external triggers may change(table setup, light, weather etc.), I have a better control on them because I have...

Hi Wei! What you are doing looks pretty good. Tried the same thing for a product I am working on. Google ads has shown the most promise out of methods.
I just want to give you heads up with somethings that you should be careful about and my observations:
1. Instagram: you may get traffic but it may not relevant. They very rarely convert.
2. Website: you may not get a lot of traffic at all,...

On a completely unrelated note. I have found this to be very useful. I put parental controls for myself on my iphone. Maybe I am adulting? I don't know. But it sure has helped be develop a healthier relationship with my phone. I am also sleeping much, much better. 10/10 would recommend trying it out to everyone. And no, this is not a joke.
How do you feel about parental controls?

Usually the following:
1. Time it takes
2. Time it starts and whether I'll get sleep + If i'll have to take an off.
3. Cost (after considering 1,2)
4. If Costs are too high, optimise for either 1 or 2.
5. If that still doesn't work out, buy the cheapest ticket + plan a day/time to recoup.
All of this goes out for a toss if there is a +1 or family involved. Then we just optimise for...

I don't use any apps. But these are my goto:
1. Gamify my to-dos for the day, especially in the afternoon when food coma starts kicking in.
2. Put on the noise cancellation headphone with no music just as a signal to everyone else.
3. DND on iphone and mac.
4. Take a walk or sit another place if too much is going on.
5. If I notice there is an internal distraction (emotional kind), I make a...
