My latest product's name - BotMeNot - is, in a way, a self-describing name. It's a tool for testing & measuring bot protection of websites - so in a way "saying no to bots". It also sounds catchy and easy to remember (at least in my opinion).

I have to say that I like the shift. Being more product-focused should help makers present their product better and attract people based on the features themselves.

It definitely has. Clearing up your mind, focusing on other things for a certain period, recharging your mental batteries, and more. I don' think it's realistic (or even sustainable in the long-term) to force yourself to push 8-10 and more hours every day. The quality of your work will inevitably suffer and you're at a high risk of burnout.

For https://botmenot.com/ - we've very recently implemented a Recommendations functionality in the app. We're still working on improving it, but the essence of it is there and it makes it so much easier to work when you have a solid foundation!

If everything around the video is well put, then it sort of convinces me to take the step to watch the video - sort of like a culmination of getting introduced to the product. However, I do from time to time skip watching launch videos completely. I have to say, though - regardless of whether people watch the video or not, the launch seems more polished if it has a (well made) video.
