https://www.seesnap.com We are in the process of rebuilding the landing page to describe more about who we are, but in short we are leveraging the power of photos to help you get stuff done at work and at home, and make the world a better place at the same time.
More info coming soon, but we are looking for people interested in being extremely early users to something that will be big! Thanks!

Personally- I think that instagram might be winning, although Snap also is great. Another great discussion is who stole features from who!

Which one of these is the best from a design and experience point of view? Some of these do a lot, while others are striving to perfect a simple, basic, and extremely fun/useful concept.

Do I need a hunter to launch on Product Hunt?
In light of questions I've had, and comments I have seen recently, I would love to know everyone's thoughts on this. If possible, I think it would be great to hear from people who launch on PH hunting their own product and others who found a hunter with an established audience/lots of followers. Pros? Cons?

In addition to all the tips and tricks to help you focus on your work and get things done efficiently, don't forget to sleep! Lack of sleep makes all of this much worse and harder to deal with. It's also nice to find something to do that you enjoy other than your work. Even if it's only for short bursts of time, it can help bring some balance to what would otherwise be an isolation tank of work.

If you're launching a niche product, chances are there's some sort of forum or community online that has tons of people actively discussing your niche! Get one there, talk to people, and ask them what they think!

I am reading "This is Marketing" by Seth Godin. Anything that he says or writes is gold.

How do you know when you're wrong?
When working on a new product, sometimes it is easy to have a very clear image in your mind of what you want. Sadly, this image is almost always slightly (at the least) different than what you really need to make. How do you know when you're wrong - especially when you don't have mounds of user data to make the decision easier?

Am I lame for just using Apple Podcasts? I listen to 15-20 hours of podcasts a week, and nothing has been compelling enough to make me switch!

Is MAU dead?
More and more, I have begun to hear founders share an opinion of mine - MAU is not a very helpful metric anymore. For many (if not most) products, having users that are only active once a month isn't ideal, so measuring and optimizing for weekly and daily use wins out.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm sure many of you are doing great using MAU as your ride-or-die metric, while others have...

Product Hunt Ship vs. Landing Pages?
Product Hunt ship pages look great and seem to be perfect for the lead-up to a Product Hunt launch. How do you use this in conjunction with a pre-launch landing page? Should one take precedence over the other? Should they be treated the same?
I would love to hear the thoughts of any and all!

@mitchgillogly I like looking on IMDB, and comparing critic and public reviews and scores. Some of the most interesting movies are those where the critics and the public disagree!
Where do you go for movie reviews?

@abadesi I feel that failure is bound to happen, and if one is too preoccupied with avoiding failure, they will also inadvertently avoid success. Much easier said than done, however.
What's your relationship with failure?
