The Dip by Seth Godin. The main premise is that "Don't quit" is bad advice — winners quit all the time; they just quit the right stuff at the right time. Human nature means we tend to the opposite of what we should do: we *don't* quit when we should (because it takes guts) and *do* quit when we shouldn't (because it takes grit). Fishing! I recently blocked half a day to go do that w/ my young son, who I'd been been promising "sometime" to for too long (we had a fantastic time).
