Visionariness of large companies is limited by their size
Cars seem to be the most popular means of private transport today. Whereas there are lot of different brands out there, the majority of them produce vehicles that look the same. It partly comes from the limits that the market's regulations impose, and partly from the fact that at first extremely innovative solutions are not that comfortable like the ones people got accustomed to because require the people to learn how they work again. Hence, we comes to a paradox that the size of the companies and the number of people who use their products limit their visionariness because implementing such an innovation is risky and disturbs their sales results. And here is where startups have the edge. After implementing extremely weird innovation even just several customers is more than none, hence they are allowed to be innovative in such an extreme way.
Independent P2P Remittance and Donation Tool to Support Ukraine People
Hello, I m Camilo from Cuba, I've created an Independent P2P Remittance & Donation Tool using Slyk that everyone can use and help Ukraine people. This is something that we use in Cuba because of our broken bank and money system. The idea is to give a tool for families and businesses in Ukraine to process remittances (receive one currency and remit another to recipient) for their families and friends in Ukraine. Anyone can launch such an independent remittance business by cloning this tool (for free) and receiving USD, EUR, or crypto, and delivering local USD, EUR or UAH. Please check the documentation of the project on xfxhub.com, and I would appreciate any feedback. I m also looking for links to sources for free-market rates for exchange in Ukraine. In Cuba, we have various sites that publish these exchange rates and I imagine they must exist in Ukraine too. Best regards, Camilo.
Web3 Networks for Digital Products
I've launched a lot of digital products over the years-- my first startup was a web portal for Mexicans called Todito.com in 1999-- and it's clear to me that the future of all digital products is going to be play-to-earn/learn/own communities. Currently most web3 projects are pyramid schemes that rely on an ever-expanding base and don't really solve painful problems the way web2 products did/do. Every day I watch products launch on product hunt and then sink to the sediment layer of the internet with few users. This is a shame because I see how much the founders put into these products. I think web3 can be solution by rewarding early believers, adopters, and collaborators with tokens that can be redeemed for access, perks, and ultimately ownership of the value creation of the project. The products themselves can still be web2 -- as most benefit from centralization-- but web3 tokens can bootstrap the traction and value creation that few product hunt launched products ever gain on their own. What this implies for founders is sharing the upside of their projects' potential with users, believers, collaborators, and investors. Instead of waiting to be blessed with a meeting or investment by some pattern-matching, paper-shuffling, ass-covering VC, why not first seek the blessing and investment of time and energy of the people who matter-- users, collaborators, and community. Seems to me there is a giant opportunity here and I'm pointing all my time, energy, and experience straight at it. Curious to hear what all of you think. Any product that launches on PH and achieves over 100 upvotes should be thinking about web3 tokens to bootstrap traction and NFX. LFG!
