About
Niki is a Professor in the HCI Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and founder of Skeema. His builds tools combining human and machine intelligence at scale to accelerate sensemaking and innovation. He has authored and co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, 17 of which have received best paper awards or honorable mentions. He spent 10 years as an interaction designer working with Wine.com, the X-Games, Williams Sonoma, Hallmark, and more. Dr. Kittur has been elected to the CHI Academy, is a Kavli fellow, and has received an NSF CAREER award and the Allen Newell Award for Research Excellence. He received a BA in Psychology and Computer Science at Princeton, and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from UCLA.
