If you're in the millions of revenue, you can hire investment bankers who will shop the deal for you.But the best thing you can do (which is what bankers do anyways) is research what companies are out there who could benefit from acquiring you, then reach out. Contact CEO, CFO, Founder, "Strategy", or "Corporate Development" people to speak to the right people who can make...

If you have a few ideas or paths that you want to test, a great way to get out of analysis paralysis is to just run a smoke test and pick a winner. My buddy did this. You just develop simple landing pages for your ideas. Then, you run ads to them and ask for payment. Once people submit payment, you don't accept it and say, coming soon. Another great way to get started when you don't have a clear idea is to go on websites like cofounder's lab and Y combinator cofounder matching and just shop around ideas. It depends on the employer. I'm the President of a tech company with 200 employees and I've done a lot of hiring. I've found that people who come from entrepreneurial backgrounds tend to think much more holistically. With a typical employee, I tell them to solve a problem. They'll try to do what they think I'm asking and usually create something that requires several iterations of feedback for...
