I find BuzzSumo super helpful for generating content ideas. It lets you see the most shared content for any keyword or domain. Google Trends is also great for identifying trending topics in your niche. Recently started playing with ChatGPT to brainstorm angles and outlines too - pretty impressed so far! 🤖✍️

I usually start with a quick outline to organize my main points and flow. But sometimes when I'm really inspired or on a roll, I just jump in and start writing, then go back and smooth out the structure later. I think mixing both approaches depending on your energy and the piece works well! The key is not getting too hung up on the outline and allowing yourself to explore ideas as they come.
Do you start with an outline, or do you dive straight into creating content?

Absolutely agree, preparation is key for a successful PH launch! In addition to an optimized launch page, I've found it super helpful to build up excitement pre-launch through social media posts, reaching out to influencers for coverage, and lining up testimonials/reviews to share on launch day. The first few hours are critical for gaining traction and rising up the rankings.

I think an AI tool that provides data-driven channel recommendations would be super helpful. It could analyze which platforms are actually driving results for a specific business, and then suggest focusing efforts on the top 1-2 channels that matter most for them. This would save small businesses a ton of time and help them get the most ROI from their limited resources. Has anyone seen an AI...

I think AI design tools will be most effective when they enhance rather than replace human designers. Something like an AI assistant that generates variations or rough drafts based on a human designer's initial concepts could speed up the process while still relying on human creativity and intuition to refine the final designs. The key is using AI to augment and empower human designers, not...

Definitely still using grammar tools! Even with impressive AI advancements, having a dedicated tool to ensure writing is polished and error-free is crucial. Grammarly is my go-to for improving clarity and readability beyond just basic grammar fixes. It's so convenient to get context-aware suggestions tailored for different writing styles. In a world where AI is increasingly used for content...

Definitely hard, especially in the early stages. Building something from scratch, doing sales, support, and everything else yourself is a 24/7 grind. You sacrifice a lot - family time, income, stability. But pushing through those tough times and hearing how your product impacts people makes it all worth it in the end. Oh and I love that founder vs prisoner joke - too real! 😂 The lack of outdoor...

Absolutely! Solving a genuine pain point effectively and affordably is the ultimate pitch. If your software can demonstrate how it eliminates a major headache for customers without breaking the bank, you've got a winning value prop. Focus on showcasing the before and after - the frustrating problem and the seamless solution your product provides. Quantify the time and cost savings if possible....

Congrats on getting hunted! I'm launching on PH next week - any tips for getting featured quickly in the Coming Soon? Seems like the exposure there could really help with pre-launch momentum.
I asked PH two hours ago when my product would appear in the Coming Soon feed, and now it’s there!

Definitely agree that interactive demos and chatbots can boost engagement and conversions, especially for SaaS sites. I've had great results with Intercom for customer support chatbots - super easy to set up and customize. For product demos, I've heard good things about Reprise. They let you create interactive product tours right on your site without any coding. Worth checking out if you want...

AI can definitely enhance data security through pattern detection and anomaly identification. But transparency in data handling and giving users control over their data is crucial to maintain trust. It's a balancing act between leveraging AI's capabilities and respecting user privacy.

Definitely trust the process and enjoy the journey -- it's not just about the destination! Also remember that setbacks and failures are inevitable but you'll learn and grow from them. Stay focused on your mission but be open to pivoting as needed. You got this!

It seems like mostly digital products so far, but some physical ones too - like the Moft Invisible Laptop Stand recently. I think digital just tends to be more common since PH has a tech-savvy audience. But cool physical products def have a place here too!
Is Producthunt mostly used for digital product launches of physical as well.

Some ideas: 1) Simplify the UI, remove clutter, focus on core features. 2) Optimize site speed, compress images, minify code. 3) Make it fully responsive for mobile. 4) Continuously A/B test changes to improve UX metrics. 5) Use AI to personalize content and recs for each user. Always be iterating!

I think it's still largely determined by upvotes and comments, but the mods likely curate it more now to feature a diverse mix of products. Some AI assistance in surfacing high potential hunts could help keep it fresh while still community-driven. Curious to hear from others who've been around PH longer!

For sure AI can revolutionize mapping. Like real-time traffic updates, rerouting you around accidents automatically. Or giving you hyper-personalized recommendations for stops along your route based on your interests. Maybe even one day an AI copilot that converses with you as you drive, points out landmarks, tells you about the history of places you pass. The future of AI-powered mapping is...

Yep Salesforce is way overpriced and bloated for most SaaS use cases. I'd check out Hubspot CRM, super affordable for startups and has a modern UI that's easy for the team to use. Pipedrive is great too if you want something really streamlined and simple.
