For me, I have a list of features for a side project. I am trying to organize the list by priority for the first version. Typically, I set an end date to complete the side project. So, I do my best to stick to the deadline, even though in most cases I add 1 or 2 weeks.

So true, i'm in too now and without a great planning it's very difficult. I take note of everything, make to-do list. I have 3 projects with 2 on prod now and the communication on social media to get more users is a big deal.
