Me! Hopefully 2, though neither have listings yet for me to point you at!
What about you?

Give generously of whatever expertise you have. And if you have none there's always people looking for feedback on landing pages / ideas!
You'll get further engaging with "new" community posts that "hot" ones!
Oh, and don't post ChatGPT outputs as comments! (My personal pet hate!)
To all Hunters & Makers 👋, whats your number one tip for new users on product hunt? 😃

Analysing 100,000 product launches
I've pulled data on 100,000 product launches from the PH API and I'm now starting to analyse it.
I'm hoping to answer questions like what difference does having a video make; how easy/hard is it to get featured on different days; how many votes are usually required to get top 5; stuff like that.
So, what do you want to know?
If you have any burning questions I can answer from the data I'll...

More likely to slack them to myself; often wish WhatApp had a similar personal inbox.
Do you still email files and links to yourself?

I can't think of anything better right now, but feedback on that would be that the color of the heart doesn't work - maybe try it in theme blue.
I'd also try it without the = sign
"Where Affiliate Marketing meets AI 😍"
"Affiliate Marketing + AI 😍"
"Let AI turbocharge your Affiliate Marketing"
(as you can see, I'd definitely capitalise the M of marketing too)
Maybe try it with 🚀 too.

The biggest problem I have with it is that it breaks the connection between response length and effort.
Before AI generated comments if you wrote a block of words I at least knew you'd invested time and effort in preparing it (unless it was obvious copypasta) - and so I'd gladly invest time and effort in reading what you wrote.
Now there's no longer a connection between response length and...
Do you think that AI-generated comments make communities like Product Hunt a better place?

I'm more bothered by those that require signup immediately (before showing any value) - or those who put a free trial behind a card required wall.
Do you skip products that have "Payment Required" and/or "Free Options" tags on Product Hunt?

PH Topics - what are they used for?
I followed a bunch of topics that are relevant to me - but I'm not sure what they're used for?
Does anyone know?
I can't find a page like "My topics" which just lists the products which fall into them - I can only click through to each one on the topics page - which seems to make following a topic pointless?

Hey - content looks good - great to get the video straight into the banner.
My feedback is purely UI/UX:
* I think centering the video element in the remaining space is better than flex-end - on a larger screen there's a massive gap between your header and the vid.
* Check your breakpoints - the video wraps into next line too early - eg at 1400px wide there's still plenty of space to have...

That was a fun distraction. 19/20 - chat GPT: you've more work to be done!
Nice idea.

Lot's of those! It's hard to pick one.
Rank order:
1) Visibility (but only really when you launch, or have launched)
2) Find new (or existing! products)
3) Feedback
4) Meet
I'd say when I joined I expected to use it mostly for feedback; but it's pretty hit and miss in this regard. I try to offer as much feedback to anyone who asks as possible - but I think (understandably) that a lot of...

Would anyone who has had a bad product launch care to share?
There are always some products that get little engagement/upvotes. Often they don't have much in the way of video/images/opening comment.
Did you take this approach? Do you regret it? Or did you still generate enough traffic to be worth it? And would you invest more effort next time?
I'm really interested in the different levels of investment people make on a PH launch!

I wanted to take my daughter wild camping in the Lakes (a few hours drive away) - I was never good enough to keep checking the weather forecast.
Figured I could build a tool to do it for me - and then figured it was a good excuse to learn front end coding so others could use it too.
Have JUST finished it (I think...) so next week is prep for launch...
How did you come up with the idea for your product or service?

It's just gamification - but it does work! Don't want to break that streak!
If anything I noticed more random follows as my streak got higher - don't know if this is just background noise, of if some accounts go through the streak leaderboard to find people to follow...
What are the benefits of getting longer streak on product hunt?

My father in law made me rethink everything.
I've been working on my SaaS for a few months now - proudly showing it off to my Father in law he just didn't get it - it totally failed to communicate what it was about.
One of the things that struck me was how all the bells and whistles were worth nothing if you couldn't show your user value quickly.
Instead of MVP I started thinking about my MPV - my Minimal Path to Value. What could I rip...

Interesting - some nice info in there!
FYI some of your tags are showing in the text, such as:
"API for the retrieval of REOPEN EU data exposed in web and mobile apps. For each country, a set of indicators – grouped under different domains – is defined." on REOPEN EU page.
And, "the world is divided into 244 tiles." on Maps

I'd love to try it but it seems that voice creation is behind a credit card wall (I appreciate no charge appears to be made) - that's enough of a barrier for me to give up.
Let me know if I've got that wrong. It was interesting enough to get me past the sign up barrier 👍

This looks good! It amused me that the API output sample scheduled the call with Jane at 5AM rather than 5PM... I'm interested in how it would actually handle this case, or if it could just be handled better by crafting a better prompt?

Simple isn't always better, but the ability to get value quickly (and simply) is worth a lot.
With a complex product, make sure there's simple path to see value quickly - give users an 'aha' moment early, then let them use the complexity to refine / improve relevance to them, but only once they've understood the value prop.
Is simple always better?
