Working with a team can slow down your pace in that it often requires more communication and coordination than working alone. When you're working solo, you can make decisions quickly and act on them without having to get input or buy-in from others. In a team setting, however, you need to make sure that everyone is on the same page and that decisions are made collectively. This can take time, especially if there are differing opinions or perspectives among team members.
