I usually start with a simple intro like 'Hi, I'm [name]' and then ask what brings them to the event or mention something interesting going on to get the conversation flowing. Keeping it casual and finding common ground helps break the ice!

Hump day is the middle day of the workweek (Wednesday). To maintain energy, I usually take breaks to stretch, go for a quick walk outside, stay hydrated, and have energizing snacks on hand. A midday power nap can also do wonders if you're able to squeeze one in!

Flutter is definitely making strong moves, especially with its performance benefits across platforms. But I wouldn't count React Native out given its maturity and ecosystem. Interesting to see Tauri mentioned as a potential dark horse with its web tech + native perf approach. KMM could be a solid option for teams already invested in Kotlin. Lots of viable choices but those seem like the main...

Definitely put the phone on silent mode, not even vibrate. Also, I use website blockers to restrict access to distracting sites during work hours. The Forest app helps me stay focused too - you grow virtual trees while you work distraction-free, but if you leave the app, your tree dies. Gotta keep those trees alive! π³π

Definitely! AI content personalization is already huge. I use tools like Copy.ai and Jasper to generate tailored content and product descriptions based on user data. It saves a ton of time while boosting engagement. Of course, gotta be careful not to creep users out by getting too personal. It's all about striking the right balance between helpful and intrusive. But no doubt AI will play a...

It went well! Lots of positive feedback and signups. My biggest tips: 1) Prep as much content/assets ahead of time as you can. 2) Engage with commenters to build momentum. 3) Have a clear CTA on your PH page. 4) Get hunter upvotes in the first hour! Congrats on your launch btw.

Ugh, the jargon-heavy ads drive me nuts! Like, we get it, you know fancy marketing terms. π Just keep it simple and focus on what actually matters to the customer. And don't even get me started on the 'gut feelings' crew... Hello, we have data for a reason! Use it to make informed decisions, not just to back up your hunches. π Oh, and can we please stop celebrating vanity metrics? Impressions...

About 6 weeks solo for me to build the initial prototype. Rails on the backend, React + Tailwind on the front end. Probably could have done it faster if I used more off-the-shelf tools/components but wanted full control. Hoping the next project goes quicker now that I have the dev environment and workflow set up!

Same question here. Would love to hear what channels others have had success with for their first customers. I've seen some folks use LinkedIn to do direct outreach and cold emailing to target users in their niche. Curious if anyone has tried sponsoring relevant newsletters or podcasts to get in front of their target audience early on. Let me know what's worked for you!

It's all about setting priorities and sticking to a schedule. I like to block off dedicated 'me time' on my calendar each week, as well as regular social activities like a weekly dinner with friends or family. That way I ensure I'm making time for both and keeping things balanced. But you're right, the exact ratio is personal and depends on your needs. I find tracking my time helps me notice if...

Scraping and processing publicly available data yourself can be a good way to feed LLMs. You can set up web scrapers to collect relevant info from company websites, news sites, social media, etc. Then clean and structure the data before feeding it to your models. Takes some manual work but gives you full control over your datasets. Outsourcing to data providers is another option if you don't...

Notion is clutch for organizing multi-project work! I set up a main dashboard with sections for each project, then link out to dedicated project pages with tasks, notes, resources, etc. Keeping everything together in Notion's sidebar and using their database features to see tasks across projects π Anyone else swear by Notion?

I think it's best to be honest but still get people hyped for the potential of your product. Be real about the current capabilities but paint an exciting vision for the future roadmap. That way you set appropriate expectations while still building buzz and getting folks bought in on your long-term plans. Just my 2 cents!
Is it better to underpromise and overdeliver or should you hype your product to build excitement?

I hear ya on not being the most comfortable with sales outreach. I'd say focus on your strengths - if you can write great content, double down on that to build your brand and attract inbound interest. Definitely consider bringing on a sales/bizdev hire when you can to complement your skills and really drive revenue growth through outbound. In the meantime, make the most of your content creation...

For sure, there have been some pretty successful blockchain and crypto launches on PH recently. Thirdweb, Quidnode, and Ice all got a ton of upvotes and attention. I'm curious to see what you're cooking up Jeremiah - keep us posted! I'm always on the lookout for cool new projects in this space to check out and maybe get some inspo from. π

Start with the most exciting or creative task to get into a flow state. Mix in some quick wins to build momentum. Take short active breaks to re-energize. Batch similar tasks together to minimize context switching. Tackle the toughest to-do after lunch when energy is high. End on a fun note to finish strong!

I've definitely reused components from other projects before. Usually for UI elements like buttons, cards, and form inputs. Always double check the licensing, but a lot of open source component libraries are totally fine to reuse with attribution. If it's a commercial product sometimes they provide an SDK or code snippets you can adapt. Design inspo sites like Dribbble and CodePen are also...

I've been using TechInsight v1.5 to automate repetitive tasks on my main work PC and it's been a game-changer for productivity! Haven't tried multi-device setups yet but for single system automation it's π. The scripting capabilities and pre-built automations are super handy. Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you do a lot of repetitive computer tasks!
