Steal this idea: What's a product you wish someone else would build?

Ever had a random idea and thought, Someone should totally build this ? Drop it here.

This thread s for the stuff you don t want to build yourself but really wish existed. Weird, useful, hilarious, oddly specific all fair game.

Highest number of lines of code in a file that Cursor handle?

Cursor updated my 300 odd lines of file into 1700 lines of code, for my form extension feature (MERN stack). However, the output was unsatisfactory, it generated redundant, unnecessary styles, modified my requirements, omitted some fields. Made my day chaotic for around 2 hours.

Then, tried other tools Claude, ChatGPT, Grok. Grok was able to provide an optimised 900 odd line code that satisfied my requirement after an hour.

I am curious to find what is the highest number of lines of code that a dev seen that was successfully generated and utilised.
Looking forward to your responses and tips on how to deal with such lengthy files and output. Because, we are very time focused and wish to ship faster with best results.

Highest number of lines of code in a file that Cursor handle?

I recently used Cursor to extend a form in a MERN stack application. While the tool is impressive in many ways, I was surprised to see the output file grow from around 300 lines to over 1700 lines. The generated code included a lot of redundant styles, altered logic, and some missing form fields, which made the integration process a bit challenging.

This led to a few hours of debugging and manual cleanup, which somewhat offset the time I was hoping to save using AI assistance.

I'm genuinely curious
How do you all manage large files generated by AI tools?
Do you follow any particular strategy or workflow to review, trim down, or refactor the output efficiently?

As someone working under tight shipping timelines, I'm looking for practical tips or tools that can help improve both the quality and speed of AI-assisted development.
