Bridging the user access gap: Try Velocity
Hi, at Velocity, we’ve spoken with ~100 designers and a consistent theme emerged: the struggle to get regular access to real users for discovery and testing. We heard that even with the best intentions, connecting with users can be a major roadblock. We firmly believe that nothing beats talking to real people, but we also understand the reality of limited access. That's where Velocity comes in....

User test reality: sharing real experiences
How much user testing was involved in your product in the past 3 months? Or during/before your last big release? How many users and from where? Nearly ~50 designers have told me of how little they talk to users, sometimes as little as every 3-6 months! We all strive for user-centred design, but outside of aspirations, how many users and what kind of users did any clicking/tapping for you? This...

Designers ... I'll help you validate faster + stop random stakeholder changes
Hi, I'm Kevin, I lead product at Velocity... a Figma plugin for designers to gain AI first-feedback on prototypes BEFORE sharing with humans. Everyone wants to be user-centric but often evidence is weak and feedback is impossible to access, but you are expected to deliver something relevant! Now, in seconds, on-demand, you can challenge hundreds of AI users on your app's designs just like in...

Hi, I lead Product at Velocity. Our on-demand usability feedback is putting a stop to wasted human time by encouraging designers to first review with AI simulations. We are a team of ex-agency owners whose teams had a hand in building big mobile Apps for companies like Meetup, Soundcloud, Mubi, Glovo. We, like many design, engineering and Product teams, were often in a position where evidence...

We prompt interactivity on Figma protoytpes. The majority of designers (70+%!) when first asked to enter a prompt enter "asafasafa" (various random keystroke combinations) or "do the flow" or some other generic nonsense. The general level of vocabulary and creativity for the average user is extremely low. I share this for anyone who is developing a prompt based product, you need to include...

I'm quite enjoying @Codia AI Figma plugin which converts screenshots to figma files. This removes any limitations to mocking things up and quickly getting it into a testable state for my own product. If you are looking for a quick way to make figma mockups interactive it's a real time saver.
Shout out your favorite new product you absolutely love using (that’s not yours)

I've been using Codia AI with success. It's quite speedy and you can upload up to twenty screens at the same time.
