Hi ProductHunt, we are happy to launch QuikFlow on Windows ππͺ
Last year we had our successful initial launch on macOS, and this year we plan not only to keep adding more features, but also to bring QuikFlow to more users and platforms. And Windows is the first one πͺ
But why did we make QuikFlow in the first place and what does it do?
We were tired of spending more time rearranging the layout...
QuikFlow for Windows
Create flowcharts with a mind mapping workflow
Structure your thoughts without getting distracted by manually doing the layout. Just like in a mind mapping app, but without being restricted to trees! Now available for Windows and macOS.

Really amazing idea! Way too much software is a mandatory subscription and doesn't even provide the option of a one-time payment.
Also took the liberty to submit our own app :P

I think there is a huge variance. Some (probably most, tbh) apps see no traction at all, some grow slowly, some take off. But the takeoff can also happen after a long period of slow growth/stagnation, depending on influencers covering it, word-of-mouth, etc.
The market is flooded with apps, so you need to think about what you can build that is worth choosing over all of the other options which...

As someone who builds apps using Flutter, why not both? :P
(Eventually... our newest app is only on desktop so far π)

For us it was "easy", we just put our app in the store for our soft-launch and within a few hours someone found and bought it :)
But it is a relatively affordable app, the scale is more challenging here.

It is easier to get some attention on ProductHunt because people are actively looking for new products and you are less dependent on some algorithm deciding your fate.

No, we did not expect the initial launch to be very big on here, and getting some sleep did not prevent me from responding to all comments :D But am in Europe, so the start was not in the middle of the night and I could wake up before launch day was over and keep replying.
Might see about the next one, though! The target audience is larger and our product is more established, so there might be...

Honestly, social media is very hard. We get most of our users by ranking highly in App Store in certain countries. Mostly by having an actually differentiated app that provides a unique value and by getting positive reviews over time (due to the app actually being enjoyed by many users).
Social media can sometimes help to get a quick boost in engagement, but particularly on algorithmically...

Yes, we use Asana boards for general project management and for more complex processes we visualize them using our own app, QuikFlow.

Yes, but it is better to make sure to leave a good first impression than to scare users away and potentially gain a bad reputation.
Delaying launch due to some technical issues π’ , ever happened to you?
