Hello Product Hunt š Multinode's alpha launches today!
š§āš» Who are we?
We're a small team of engineers that spent waay too much time setting up dynamic user-triggered workflows with Kubernetes when working on our previous product, even though conceptually we knew exactly what our system is supposed to do [1].

What's the difference between Bonboarding and Chameleon? Why should I use you instead?
Although tbf, I will personally really consider Bonboarding because of much friendlier pricing. Chameleon starts $300/month and it's too much for us to justify at the point of double digit monthly users. I'm still curious if there's any significant product differentiation though.

Engineers who run async workflows - what should we build?
We recently pivoted into Python framework for writing arbitrarily complex cloud compute that we called multinode.dev (see the website for detailed docs).
The problem we started with was actually how hard it was to build user-triggered asynchronous distributed workflows with seamless autoscaling when working on our previous product, basically something equivalent to...

Frontend - manual, UI is too hard to test and changes too frequently
Backend - automated end-to-end tests for most of the API calls, unit tests for functions with complex logic (e.g., mathsy stuff) or anything authorization/authentication related
How are you balancing manual vs automated testing in your projects?

Looks interesting! Did you do ShowHN? I'd love to read the discussions there.
Also, are there any plans/roadmaps already in place to support other languages? Unfortunately I haven't used Java since quitting my corporate job.

Hah! We're just pivoting from an AI product (although it was more of a classic ML) to a non-AI one, just because it solves a bigger problem.
The cliche of "focus on the problem, not a solution" really applies hre. No one besides mediocore investors and novelty users that will churn quickly either way cares about whether you're using AI or not.
