I've worked closely with Irvin since he conceived Subframe in 2022. I was compelled to spend time with him because (a) I had personally experienced the pain and tedium of translating mockups to pixel-perfect frontend and (b) I could not imagine a better founder to build this product than Irvin. There are lot of tools promising to streamline UI design and dev from all sorts of angles, but...

We use Fathom in every call with founders. The key feature that makes it work is the "Highlight" button — this minor human-in-the-loop makes the summary SO much better. I was nervous about the bot joining as well, but we always ask and only a few people have had concerns. (And it's increasingly common that founders are bringing their own bot.) Disclosure: Also a portfolio company.

Fathom is an indispensable part of my daily workflow. I love how it leverages lightweight "human in the loop" features to make the AI summaries super useful. And it's nice that I don't have to switch platforms to use it. It's just a simple add-on to Zoom. My fund Character actually invested in Fathom, in part because of the great product experience!

Vimcal is magnificent. Completely delivers on the promise: "Vimcal is the world’s fastest calendar, beautifully designed for people who work remotely and live in their calendars." The timezones+availability features alone are worth the price. I have been using Vimcal since shortly after they launched and absolutely love it. Thanks for making it @john_li3 @mikeyyyzhao!!

Butter is awesome! And I love how it's focused on doing one kind of thing really well, not trying to take on the whole world of online video meetings and events (yet, anyway 😉).

I have written more about calendars and scheduling than anyone really should 🤓 And I really love Reclaim because it takes the best ideas around proactive scheduling and timeboxing and makes them sticky by building them into a product.
