Honestly I think this is the trickiest part. Knowing when to make the "ask", I'm still figuring this out with Pagic.

This is a great question, I've been designing since 2009. Choose clients that actually have long term needs, in the beginning you can't be picky but once you can stick with companies that care about design.

Well it's technically still going (Pagic, currently top 5) but it has gone beyond my expectations.

I'm saying this while my product is still live, so I might have more to say after, but I'd say building communities on multiple platforms. Pagic has made it top 5 so far, but it's coming down to 5-10 votes, and having a following on not just 1 but 2 or 3 platforms can make a big difference in final hours of launch!
