Milestone 1 achieved: Our waiting list is now open!
Gaining feedback has been a big deal for years - but if you think about it in detail, it's bizarre that in all this time no one has built a product that offers every possible way someone could provide feedback, which means high engagement!
Well it turns out it didn't exist, so we build it.
Having worked in market research for a number of years, I struggled to find a tool that could do...

Day 2: The top 3 topics I am learning very quickly as a founder
There are 3 topics I feel like I am learning very quickly and harshly as a company founder:
Topic #1: DECISION-MAKING
Arhh.
Where do I start when it comes to decision-making.
I used to love being at university.
I didn’t have to really make a decision but now I am a founder, I have a company, and I have to make decisions.
We all make countless decisions every day.
But most people never...

Day 1: Why I’ve come out of my shy personality to create a SaaS business
Over the next 30 days, I plan to write about my journey as a shy SaaS founder, the successes and the fails (because they are going to happen).
As you can see from Survey101 social media, I actually created the social media account back in 2020 and for various reasons I didn’t start the business.
Here are a few reasons why I have now started Survey101:
1. I WANT TO PROVE TO MYSELF THAT I CAN...

A great list. I am going to be building in public from Monday too. It would be great to connect
What about showcasing how your product is being build? The behind-the-scenes work. Have you thought about that?

I'm finally starting on Monday and I am very nervous.
What if it doesn't work? What if I fail?
And my answer is MEH!
Yes if it doesn't get traction i will be annoyed, but it is a life lesson only to make me a better person. And it tells me that I tried. I did it.
Rather than... What if?

Similar to what others have said. But you need to speak to your target audience, what are they struggling with.
You then need to decompose a simple “choice” into 3 buckets:
- Observations
- Inferences
- Conclusions
What were the things the customer saw (observations) which led them to believe something (inferences) and then to act on it (conclusion)
How do you prioritize the features you build?

Working 9-5 is old school. I hate it and would never go back to it.
I don't even work 8 hours a day, I work based on productivity and workload. Don't just look at your screen if you have accomplished what you need to achieve!
Do you follow a 9-5 schedule while WFH or you work incrementally?

Building a community can only happen if you truly understand your audience. Go where they are and share value. Don't hide it behind pay walls and email address pop ups.

This is one of the reasons why I am starting my SaaS business from Monday. I had the idea some years ago, but didn't have the guts to go for it.
Onwards and upwards from here!

Another reason why I really like Starbucks as a business. They are entering new marketplaces, and not just being stagnant where they already have a good market share.

Conduct some audience and customer research. Understand what makes your audience tick, and go where they are.
Simple. But effective.
