I just tried it out, really like it @sanek_kh. I found the controls more intuitive than other manual camera apps that I've used. It felt closer to the experience of handling a DSLR.

Fun concept. After watching the intro video and rereading the Product Hunt description, there are some noticeable grammatical and word choice errors. Given the audience and subject matter, it would be a good investment to get some professional copy writing assistance.

What about targeting specific authors and journalists? For example, a vetted contributor at Huffington Post could conceivably push through an article that is "fake news" but the integrity of the source doesn't need to be put into question. Or conversely if a malicious individual manages to gain a publishing position with an otherwise reputable news source. Bad actors are individuals, not URLs.

Thanks, Daniel. It's a beautiful app. A few things:
(1) Plans for a revenue model? Even if it's a passion project, it's meaningful for me as a user to know there's a way to support a project to ensure it's continuation.
(2) Plans for extension? Not that it's incomplete, but it seems like a widget or even Watch app with the countdown could passively reinforce the perspective of urgency. I'm...

14,800 JPY or $146 USD (w/o tax and s/h). Requires a true 360 camera to upload a photo or else a repeated pattern is recommended.
I love the concept for a unique and practical specialty gift. It'd be nice to see more photos of final products rather than renders.

It's worth noting that Ookla was bought by Comcast, though that's not necessarily an indictment. Another HTML5 alternative that also works on mobile is http://speedof.me
EDIT: I'm wrong, thanks @adrianeholter for the correction. I'm not sure about the source of my misinformation. Apologies.

I've never created a Chrome plugin, so I'm excited to give this a try. I'm curious how plugin creators who purposely did not make their source publicly available would feel about this.

I wasn't convinced until I saw that you keep the bike after 2 years. Then I wasn't seeing it as just comparative savings to other transport, it's a payment plan for a product I've considered buying anyway. Of course it's both, but it's interesting to see the hardware leasing v. buying shift in a new product category.
