There are two types of tasks that needs to be done: Tactical and Strategic. Pods or people working on tactical tasks should sync up 1-2 times per day. Aim is to get feedback and do faster iterations. Strategic or long term tasks should have 1-2 times a week sync up cadence. Aim is yo give creative freedom to people who are working on long term tasks.

Start by defining the problem and the different solutions that you can think of. Eliminate solutions that make the problem worse or marginally improve it. Validate the problem and top solutions with a set of target users. Once agreed start working on the solution.
