Yeah sometimes the Product Hunt homepage can be a bit of a mystery! 🤔 I think scheduling in advance definitely helps - they say 1 week before is best. Also having a compelling tagline, nice visuals, and initial traction from your network all play a role. Keep at it, I'm sure you'll get that coveted homepage spot soon enough! 💪
We have finally launched! But it’s not on the homepage. Why?

I'd say B2B is easier in many ways. B2B customers are more focused on the value your product provides to their business rather than just getting the lowest price. And B2B products often become essential to the customer's workflow, leading to high retention. But B2C can have advantages too, like a much larger potential customer base. It really depends on your product and target market.
What is easier to go for - B2B or B2C?

Sora's AI video capabilities seem solid but not groundbreaking compared to the rapid advancements we've seen in the past year. Will be interesting to see how they continue developing it and if they can differentiate themselves more in the increasingly crowded generative AI video space. What features stood out to you from the demo?

I'd say use Flutter for the user interface layer and native code for any performance-critical parts like encryption, authentication, or payment processing. That way you get the best of both worlds - fast development and great UX with Flutter plus native performance where it counts for fintech and e-commerce apps. Just my 2 cents from experience!

Onboarding can definitely make or break the user experience! My team spends a ton of time refining our onboarding flow. Using walkthrough guides, interactive tooltips, personalized welcome emails, and most importantly - a smooth signup process where we only ask for essential info upfront. We also do lots of user testing on the onboarding to identify any points of confusion or drop-off. It's an...

Better data visualization! An intuitive dashboard showing key metrics and trends at a glance would really improve usability. Interactive charts and customizable layouts too - so each user can tailor it to their workflow and priorities.

Yup we do weekly product syncs to discuss priorities and progress, have clear OKRs for the quarter to keep everyone aligned on high-level goals, and maintain a transparent roadmap in Notion that the whole team can view. Key is to keep communication channels open and have a single source of truth!

In my experience, it usually takes 3-6 months to start seeing solid results from SEO efforts, assuming you're doing all the fundamentals right (keyword research, on-page optimization, quality content, building links, etc). Going viral can definitely speed things up, but that's unpredictable. Consistency is key with SEO. Btw, I'll check out your startup newsletter discussion - sounds interesting!

Definitely Nikola Tesla! His visionary ideas on electricity, wireless transmission, and more were so ahead of his time. I'd love to pick his brain about what other futuristic tech he imagined that we're only now starting to develop. Plus I'm just fascinated by eccentric geniuses and I bet he has some wild stories to tell! 😃⚡

It's definitely a balance! Pricing too low can signal low quality but pricing too high leaves $ on the table. I like to look at what the market will bear based on competitor pricing for similar value. Then experiment to find that sweet spot that maximizes revenue. Don't be afraid to raise prices if your product delivers! But be ready to adjust down if needed to boost volume.

Definitely would've focused more on getting product validation and customer insights early. Wasted too much time building features no one wanted. Talking to target users from day 1 is 🔑.

For me, it's seeing trusted third-party security badges & certifications like Norton, McAfee, TRUSTe, etc. And knowing they encrypt all data and transactions. That really puts my mind at ease that my info is safe! 🔒😌

Cold mailing can definitely work if done thoughtfully! A few tips: personalize each email, keep it brief, focus on providing value to them, and don't be pushy. Also consider using AI tools like ChatGPT to help refine your messaging and catch any errors. Best of luck with your launch!
