The choice of a tool depends on the tasks and workflows. For our team, which develops products while being spread across different cities and countries, Figma is unrivaled.
That said, I wish Figma had a strong competitor. It would drive innovation and help it become even better.
What's your go-to design tool and why? (Figma, Photoshop, Canva, etc.)

In my opinion, you can't do much with adults who have lost their motivation. That's why most of a manager's work begins and ends during the hiring process. We shouldn't invite people to the team who are not interested in the product, don't align with our processes, etc.
However, there are a few rules that can help ensure things don't get worse:
• Strategies and decisions must be transparent...

Don't fall in love with your ideas. We all like compelling stories, but for every romantic visionary who succeeds, there are ninety-nine pragmatic practitioners who skillfully find niches, adapt their concepts to the market's demands and shifts, and reshape their businesses to meet customer needs.
Or, if you do fall in love with your ideas, be ready for a long and challenging road.

First and foremost, it’s about people and the endless interactions with them. These include clients, employees, contractors, and many others. No other job can so abruptly pull you out of your cozy cave and make you feel truly alive.

I would like to see a significant improvement in usability and accessibility, especially in large-scale products. And it’s not just about font size and contrast but also user experience, UX writing, and more. However, what I’ll probably see instead are new stunning gradients and AI-generated motion graphics.

It depends on the stage of product development. If we’re building a startup, we focus on delivering unique value and a unique experience. This is why, in the early stages, it’s often impossible to gather sufficiently detailed data from research, and in some cases, relying on one’s own vision is the only option. However, studying the audience and market is, of course, essential.
As the user...

It’s a choice to entrust design decisions to designers and have confidence in their judgment. The same applies to development specialists. However, for this to succeed, product management must be skilled at clearly communicating ideas and concepts.

Of course, it’s worth it. Because the concept and idea define the value the product brings to users, while familiar features are a matter of usability.

I think the best ideas are already in our heads. All we need is a little calm, focus, and a couple of days off to determine the right strategy. And maybe something that helps us find and organize our own thoughts. For me, that’s coffee — lots of coffee.

The key question is: how long does it take to register and complete the core workflow? A good UI and additional features matter, too, but if I can get value within a few minutes, this product is guaranteed a spot on my shortlist.

In my opinion, the development of a design system should be approached in the same way as product development:
1. Define the minimum set of components and documentation necessary for launch, along with a development strategy.
2. Gradually bring each component and its associated documentation to a ready state.
3. Conduct user testing. Yes, design systems need this, too.
4. Reuse modules and...

What makes a product feel perfect for its users?
Have you ever used a product and thought: “This is exactly what I needed!”? Some products anticipate our needs so well that they feel almost magical.
What makes a product like that? Is it deep user research? Brilliant design? Perfect timing? Or just sheer luck?
From my experience, it’s a mix of understanding the user’s problems, making bold but thoughtful decisions, and constantly refining...

Users turn to products to solve their tasks, but only a well-designed interface allows them to do so with enjoyment. Ultimately, from a business perspective, a good UI is an opportunity to increase pricing and boost profitability or gain a significant competitive advantage. And what could be more important?

The approach depends on the primary goal of the MVP: securing investments, attracting initial users, or aligning the team’s vision. If the focus is on users, it’s essential to establish a funnel that tracks the journey from the first interaction — such as through social media — to the completion of the target action. This helps identify where significant drop-offs occur and what needs...

I think it depends on the specifics of the market and the target audience. The main focus should be on understanding these factors and analyzing the successful strategies of competitors. In some cases, collaboration with influencers might be effective; in others, a large-scale advertising campaign could be the right approach. Sometimes, building trust in the brand doesn’t need to be treated as...

It mainly comes down to responsibility and resources. If you decide to monetize an MVP, you must ensure sufficient quality assurance, at least basic customer support, etc. If you have the necessary resources — be it human, funding, or time — then why not?

It would definitely be a gadget capable of storing and transmitting scents. Of course, we get most of our information through the eyes, but smells can evoke instant and incredibly vivid memories. For example, the scent of the house you grew up in or the aroma of your favorite food. It might not save lives, but it would surely bring people a few moments of pure joy.

B2C is a bit harder to develop in the early stages. Customers are too unpredictable, and you can never fully understand their needs and behavior. As a result, some things have to be guessed. However, as they become familiar with the app, they tend to be more forgiving of certain mistakes, unlike businesses.

Give the team more autonomy to make their own decisions. Mistakes may happen at first, but with thoughtful guidance and corrections, they will learn quickly. This approach ultimately increases engagement, improves teamwork, and frees up some of my time.
