I just quit my job to work on Exocortex.
I have pretty much used every text editor and note taking application under the sun, often going back to plain markdown files + vim or vscode. I later settled on Obsidian, but couldn't really bring my own (personal) tech notes to my work computer provided by my employers without risking or just generally being worried about a intellectual property...
